Summer Programs
: Month-long summer programs looking at human rights, democracy, and structural injustice. Each bridges the international and the domestic, the theoretical and the practical, the political and the personal. Multiple program sites. First-years through seniors eligible.
: Six-week summer program (fully funded) providing undergraduate students with a deeper understanding of public policy and international affairs, a greater understanding of career opportunities, and graduate school preparation. Juniors only, must be U.S. citizens. Underrepresented students, students with high financial need encouraged to apply.
: Six-week summer program (fully funded) providing undergraduate students with a deeper appreciation of current issues and trends in international affairs, a greater understanding of career opportunities in international affairs. Sophomores through seniors eligible, must be U.S. citizens. Underrepresented students, students with high financial need encouraged to apply.
: Six-week summer institute (fully funded) for rising college juniors offering learning and networking opportunities at Mount Vernon and in Washington, DC. Current sophomores only.

Community, Service, Social Impact Fellowships
: 10-month paid position with non-profit in Anchorage, Juneau, or Sitka
: Ten months of work in NGOs and social enterprises in India.
: International and domestic voluntary programs ranging from two-week to two-years.
: Fight hunger and poverty through placements in community based organizations across the country.
: Two-year, paid social impact fellowship working with partner organization (Boston, NYC, Philadelphia).
: Fight for global health equity through year-long fellowships in Burundi, Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, the U.S., and Zambia.
: 11-month position in social organizations located in Latin America, Africa, India, Southeast Asia and China.
: Two-year, full-time program that aims to increase diversity in the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors.
: Provides undergraduate funding for students planning to pursue careers in public service, plus summer travel funding and ten-year travel stipend. US citizens, permanent residents and DACA recipients eligible; students apply sophomore year.
: Assist in infrastructure and community development within the country they serve in. Examples of assignments include teaching, construction, community organizing, and medical aid.
: Work across Africa for year long service projects focused on education, public health, fresh water and alternative energy, increase family incomes, and so much more.
: Service-oriented fellowships in the fields of education, media/journalism, international development (NGOs) and business.
: Service-oriented fellowships for work in NGOs and government and community-based organizations in microfinance, natural resource conservation, public health, education policy, and other areas.
: AmeriCorps program in community development NGOs addressing issues including youth development, education, public health, economic development, and the environment.
Graduate Program Funding
Scholarships for graduate/professional study in the U.S. Graduate school applicants should check the websites of the universities and degree programs of interest about financial support—this is where the majority of graduate students will find funding (or not, depending on the norms for that area of graduate study).
If you are not a U.S. citizen, see if your country’s ministry for education (or equivalent) has any scholarships or fellowships for graduate study. Typically applications for external fellowship support are made around the time of your graduate program applications, unless otherwise noted.

Predoctoral, dissertation, and postdoctoral fellowships are available to U.S. citizens, nationals, and permanent residents, as well as individuals granted deferred action status under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Program, political asylees, and refugees.
Supports graduate study in the applied physical, biological, and engineering sciences for U.S. citizens and permanent residents.
Middlebury Affiliation Scholarships: Graduate study at MIIS scholarships for Middlebury alumni and extended family members.

Provides full-tuition scholarships to NYU Law School for students seeking to work in public interest law.
Supports MA programs in fields related to peace and conflict prevention and resolution or (2) 3-month fellowships for experienced professionals working in peace-related fields at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand.
Provides two-years of graduate school funding and leadership development for future changemakers. Eligible programs include: MD, JD, MBA, MPH, MPP/MPA, EdD, and MA/MS programs in social sciences or STEM. US citizens and DACA recipients eligible.
Support for outstanding undergraduate, master’s degree, and doctoral students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.

Promoting research and publication in the fields of archaeology, anthropology, ancient through modern history, art history, conservation and preservation studies, Arabic and other Near Eastern languages, Islamic studies, and fields related to Near Eastern studies.
Academic year internship at AUC in administrative offices learning Arabic or taking other courses at the university.
Pursue master’s degree in security-related program (taught in English) at IDC Herzliya’s Raphael Recanati International School, near Tel Aviv.
For emerging leaders in areas of art, science, media, law and both social and business entrepreneurship. Fellows travel to Egypt and the U.S. to develop a better and in depth understanding of each other’s societies, customs, traditions, religions, politics, law, art, science and business environments.
Opportunities for business and technology professionals seeking in-depth, hands-on field experience in the social sector in Latin America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
Assist in conducting archaeological research in Jordan (1-2 months).
Intensive Arabic language program at Qatar University in Doha for academic year.
Asia and Oceania
Supports research in Mongolia on topics in the social sciences or humanities.
Supports international dialogue, understanding, and respect through cultural exchange and nurtures the individual talents of artists and scholars in Asia and the United States.
