Bike Sales
Bike Shop offers two bike sales each year, where you can buy a cheap campus bike. Most of these bikes will need some service or parts. You can bring them in for work with our staff.
- The fall bike sale runs on the first or second Friday of the fall semester.
- The spring sale runs the Friday following the return from spring break week, dependent on availability.
- The bike sales take place at the Bike Barn, located behind 48 South Street, formerly the KDR House.
- There is also a limited selection of bikes for purchase during open hours.
Seasonal Bike Storage
The Bike Shop offers affordable bike storage in the summer and winter.
- Summer drop-off time is in May, over several days next to the final week.
- Winter drop-off is before the December holiday break.
- The storage period runs till March.
Summer Bike Rentals
The Summer Bike Rental program lets summer students rent a bike for the summer.
- For a nominal fee, you can rent and use a bike from mid-June to mid-August.
- You will be responsible for the maintenance, security, and return of the bike at the end of the summer.
- If your bike is not returned or damaged, you will incur replacement fees.
Clinics
Bike maintenance sessions will cover a variety of topics, and introduce and teach participants how to properly care for, maintain, and keep their bikes in good working order.
This service is taught by our in-house bike mechanics. It is free of charge to the Middlebury College community.

- Tire Changing Clinic: In this clinic, our mechanics will go over how to change out a bike tire and/or tube, and cover everything that goes along with the process!
- Drivetrain Clinic: In this clinic, our mechanics will go over the basics of drivetrain cleaning and maintenance, shifting adjustment, and general care!
