Andrea Flinn, MA Arabic ’23, a PhD student studying applied linguistics and technology at Iowa State, was selected for the prestigious Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad program. Flinn will travel to Jordan next year to research and develop tools for teaching Levantine Arabic.

The Language Schools awarded Master’s degrees in 10 languages as well as the Doctor of Modern Languages on August 18, 2023. Language Schools alum Ta-Nehisi Paul Coates was the commencement speaker.
