Friday’s language-focused Middlebury Institute Career Fair attracted recruiters from as far away as China and Switzerland, 31 of them Institute alumni.
“I knew I wanted to do business and continue to develop my Japanese language skills and I had found a place where I could do both,” shares Middlebury Institute alumna Lauren Thompson who was hired by Sony Corporation in Tokyo before graduation.
A hub for data analysis learning and training on campus, the Middlebury Institute’s META Lab also offers students the opportunity to work on community projects, providing meaningful support to local non-profits while gaining valuable work experience.
The Middlebury Institute’s Center for the Blue Economy has launched the new peer-reviewed academic Journal of Ocean and Coastal Economics, focusing on the role ocean and coastal resources play in regional and national economies.
