Bloomberg Big Take Podcast: “How Racist Groups Use Online Video Games to Spread Hate”
Alex Newhouse, deputy director of the Middlebury Institute’s Center on Terrorism, Extremism and Counterterrorism, discussed his work to eliminate extremist content from online gaming platforms on Bloomberg’s the Big Take podcast.
“We are looking at the relationships that are built in-game. We find that the way social interactions in games happen drive an increased vulnerability to extremism and radicalization,” explained Newhouse.
