We are excited to share that John Fullerton will be at Middlebury College on January 8, 2026, for a special event celebrating the launch of his new book, Regenerative Economics: Revolutionary Thinking for a World in Crisis.

He’ll be joined by Donna Ramirez-Harrington, Chair of UVM’s Department of Economics and Affiliate with the Gund Institute for the Environment, for a conversation exploring the core ideas of regenerative economics and what it means for the future of business, finance, and our global systems.

Feeling unsure where to start your job search? Need some accountability tools to keep you going? This hands-on workshop will help you structure your job search into clear, manageable steps. Participants will leave with tools to prioritize opportunities, track progress, and navigate the process with confidence and a realistic plan that works for you. All graduating students in Feb or May 2026 are welcome.

Seniors: Interviewing like a Pro

Do you have an interview coming up?  Or maybe you’ve had some recently that could have gone better?  In this session you’ll learn best practices for standing out in your introductions (“tell me about yourself”), fit-based interviews (“why do you want to work here?”) and behavioral interviews (“tell me about a time you had to handle a disagreement”). We will review strategies for responding to common questions and inventory prep resources including a new practice interview tool, Big Interview. Open to all students graduating in Feb or May 2026.

Seniors: Effective Networking

Networking outreach is critical for any job search. Research shows it speeds up your job search, results in better fit/higher job satisfaction, and is even associated with higher starting salaries. Join this session to learn how to find and contact professionals relevant to your interests, how to prepare, and how to lead an engaging and impactful conversation with them. We’ll cover all types of outreach—from basic informational interviews, to follow-up outreach, to advocacy calls inquiring about job opportunities. Open to all students graduating in Feb or May 2026.

This is a time for you to dig in and find something to do this summer! There will be active support from peer career advisors who will be available to assist you in your searching. Come with specific ideas of the type of thing you’re looking for, or just a general idea is fine too. Peer advisors can show you resources and tools to help you navigate the search the best way possible in Handshake, Midd2Midd and more. This is not a lecture, so get ready to be busy and make progress!

Résumé Approval Night

Come to this session with the peer advisors and get your résumé approved! Make sure to see the rubric in our Résumé and Cover Letter Guide first. You can come anytime during the 2-hour window and peer advisors will be on hand to work with you to improve your résumé. This is not a session on how to write a résumé, or start a new one. The emphasis is on making your current resume better to get the opportunity you want!

Introduction to Networking: How to Build Relationships for Career Exploration

Come to this session led by a peer advisor to learn more about what exactly networking is, how to do it, and why it is important. You’ll walk away with tips to use Midd2Midd and LinkedIn better, what to write in outreach emails, and the top 10 questions to ask during informational chats. Plus, learn about the elevator pitch for more of the impromptu networking that can happen at events, compared to the planned process of reaching out and targeting individuals.
