    The junior independent study major from Beijing, China, was passionate about linguistics and held a leadership position with the College’s Quidditch Club.

    Over her many years as a Middlebury staff member, Megan Battey developed and transformed the Visual Resource Center serving the History of Art and Architecture department.

    Middlebury will remove the Mead name from the chapel, citing John Mead’s role in eugenics policy in the early 20th century.

    The Christian A. Johnson Professor Emeritus of Music brought jazz, folk music, and ethnomusicology, as well as new approaches to the traditions of theory and musicology, to Middlebury during his long tenure at the College.
