CTLR Break and End-of Semester Support and Advice for Fall 2025
The CTLR Suite and Q-Center will be closed for break starting Friday, 11/21 at 5 pm and will reopen Sunday, 11/30. See below for details and visit for links to drop-in or appointment availability.
Tutoring Availability
Tutoring officially ends Monday, 12/8. As listed below, some programs and classes will offer tutoring during exam week.
ACE Tutors
Learning Resources’ ACEs (Academic Consultants for Excellence) will be available to help with time management and study skills through the end of classes on Monday, 12/8, with limited availability finals week. You can book an appointment for an or consultation.
Learning Resources staff will also be available for help at the on Tuesday, 12/9-Thursday, 12/11 from 1-4 pm.
Language Tutors
Will be available for appoitments through Monday, 12/8. Work with a tutor on speaking, writing, and study skills for international language courses.
Quantitative and STEM Tutoring
STEM and quantitative peer tutors will be available for regularly scheduled drop-in sessions through Monday, 12/8. For the Sunday after break and exam week options please check for drop-ins or for additional availability.
The Q-Center end-of-semester schedule will be:
Mon, 12/8 - Thu, 12/11: 9 am - Midnight
Fri, 12/12 - Tue, 12/16: 9 am - 5 pm
Wed, 12/17 - Fri, 12/19: Closed with staff available by email. q-center@middlebury.edu
Writing Tutors
Drop-ins: The last drop-in tutoring session for the fall semester will be Monday, 12/8 from 6-9 pm. During drop-ins you are welcome to stop by the CTLR in Davis Library to get support on your final writing assignments, from idea development to revisions to final edits.
Individual sessions: peer tutor and professional tutoring sessions (outside of drop-in hours) will be available through Monday, 12/8. And there will be some availabilty for individual peer tutoring sessions through exam week. Schedule a or individual appointment.
Course-based: writing tutors’ availabilty varies so please check with your course tutor.

Winter Holiday Break
The CTLR Suite and Q-Center will be closed Wednesday, 12/17 through Sunday, 1/4. We will re-open on Monday 1/5. CTLR staff may be available by email or appointment except during the college holidays (12/22-1/2).
Save the Date
The Spring Student Symposium will be Friday, 4/17. All students are invited to apply to present their academic work at this day of celebration. The application will open in January.
