Russian Short-term Programs
| by Oliver Carling
Interested in working on your Russian but not able to take six or eight weeks off this summer? Consider one of our Middlebury Language Schools short-term programs:
(Zolotoj Plyos): Return to the immersion community on campus, learn traditional songs and dances, and try your hand at folk instruments such as the balalaika and zhaleika. This new workshop will be led by members of the professional folk ensemble Zolotoj Plyos. By week’s end, you will perform alongside them!
(Prof. Izolda Savenkova): Reactivate your language skills in a format that accommodates a variety of work and family schedules. Intended for alumni with a solid foundation in Russian who have been away from the language for a while, the Online Refresher focuses on conversation practice, engaging activities, and the review of fundamental vocabulary and grammar.
(Prof. Larisa Moskvitina): Take a deep dive into this tricky topic of Russian grammar and explore the nuances of verbs as used by native speakers. When is it best to use the imperfective verb, and when should you use the perfective? Prof. Moskvitina looks forward to helping you deepen and systematize your knowledge of the subject.
We hope to see you in one of these programs this summer! Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.
