MIIS Alumnus in Haiti Interviewed on BBC Radio
Michael Goble (MBA ’90), one of the four Monterey Institute alumni known to be working on relief efforts in , was interviewed by BBC Radio over the weekend about the situation there. An employee of the United Nations’ Department of Peacekeeping Operations, Goble is currently serving as an administrator at the Port-au-Prince airport’s makeshift morgue. In the interview, Goble explains the incredibly difficult realities of the work he is doing: “Just as you feel you’re getting caught up with one grim situation, another batch [of bodies] is brought in… There are so many still in the rubble that we’re just a staging area here, trying to identify bodies before getting them to a temporary morgue.” The full interview is available on the .
