Presentation by Jake Faber ’16.5 and Jacob Dixon ’16.5. One of the most striking features of McCardell Bicentennial Hall is the panoramic view across the Great Hall of the Champlain Valley and the Adirondack Mountains that lie to the west of campus. Over the past two years, Jake Faber ‘16.5 and Jacob Dixon ‘16.5 have created an interpretive exhibit to be installed in Bicentennial Hall this spring which aims to contribute reflection and appreciation of the landscape beyond the building. The installation features an interpretive panel which includes a mixed media panorama of the Adirondack High Peaks, as well as a web-based digital exhibit that explores a selection of the intersecting stories of the people and natural forces that have shaped the landscape we see today. In our presentation, we will display our latest design for the interpretive panel and digital exhibit, outline our creative process, and describe our vision for the installation moving forward.
